Join us for Alang Madan Kulang Trek also known as AMK. This is once of the difficult treks in Maharashtra and includes Rappelling, Tent stay, and best Sunrise. The Alang Fort, Madangad Fort, and Kulang Fort trek also known as AMK Trek is one of the most challenging and exciting trekking experiences Maharashtra. The trek has it all from steep rock faces, rugged terrain, and a trek that tests both physical endurance and mental grit. located in the Nashik district, these forts are historically significant and offer some of the most breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Alang Fort is known for its large plateau and strong fortifications, Madan Fort features a pointed summit that requires technical climbing skills, and Kulang Fort, known for its massive granaries, provides panoramic views of the region. The trek involves navigating dense forests, climbing vertical rock patches, and crossing between forts on narrow ridges, making it an adventure for seasoned trekkers.

    Meeting Point: Kasara Local Train Station.

    Three hours prior to the event date and time, we will be creating a WhatsApp group for coordination purposes. Exact GPS locations will be shared in the group along with the live location of the bus and coordinators details.

    We'll meet you at Kasara ticket booking counter window no 3, on platform 4. We will start our journey in a Jeep from Kasara station at 12.20 am. Our next stop will be at a Dhaba for a washroom break within 15 minutes. i.e. around 12.45 am. You can freshen up over here.

    Day 1 – Saturday: Ascend Alang and Madangad

    • Upon reaching the base village, take a short rest to gather energy for the ascent.
    • 03:30 AM: Wake up and fuel up with breakfast, post safety instructions and introduction round get ready for the trek.
    • 04:30 AM: Begin the trek to Alang Fort
    • 11:30 AM: Reach the summit of Alang, explore its vast plateau, fortifications, and enjoy lunch amidst panoramic views.
    • Afternoon: Descend from Alang and reach the col (saddle) between Alang and Madangad. Begin the ascent to Madangad, experiencing more thrilling climbs and scenic vistas.
    • Evening: Arrive at Madangad and settle down for the night. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in Madangad Caves.

    Day 2 – Sunday: Kulang Fort and Return

    • 05:00 AM: Wake up early to freshen up and start the day with the sunrise
    • Have an early morning breakfast 
    • 06:30 AM: Begin the trek towards Kulang Fort, the final gem in the AMK trio
    • Midday: Reach the top of Kulang, indulge in lunch, and explore the fort's expansive premises
    • Afternoon: Start the descent from Kulang, completing the circuit of the AMK trek with a sense of achievement and exhilaration.
    • Late Afternoon: Arrive back at the base village and take the local jeep towards Kasara railway station, marking the end of this thrilling trekking experience.
    • 18:30 PM Approx.: Estimated arrival at Kasara railway station, from where you'll head back home or to your next destination, carrying with you the memories of a challenging and rewarding trekking adventure.

    Note: Even the most "Easiest" trek is basically a TREK and not a tour or picnic. Its impossible for an Unfit person to complete even 50 percent of the easy trek.
