Recommended Train For Riverside Camping
Catch the Kasara Local train from the station nearest to you and reach kasara at 2.47 PM for pickup.

Three hours prior to event date and time, We will be creating a WhatsApp group for pickup and meeting point coordination purposes. Details regarding the contact person and number at Kasara will be shared in the group.
Plan for Bhandardara Lakeside Camping:
Day 1
- Reach the Campsite approximately by 5:00 pm.
- Rest and freshen up, learn to set up tents. Along with a short introductory session (lets get to know each other)
- Evening refreshment (Maggie and garma garam chaai) and chill at the lake.
- Board Games and Chillout at campsite
- Dinner will be ready by 09.00 pm
- We'll then start our New year Celebration party, there would dance, Games, fun, and much more.
- Post 12 you can stay up with us and celebrate the new year or head back to sleep (Although blankets will be provided in the tent we recommend getting extra /bedsheets/blankets/Jackets to keep you warm and comfortable)
- You can stay up as long as you want. Enjoy sky full of stars and cool breeze.
Day 2
- 07:30 am wake up call
- Breakfast and Tea will be ready by 8:15
- Boat Ride.
- Start return journey back to Mumbai around 10am

- BEFORE Booking please ensure you have gone through all the details, FAQ, Points to note, About Us, and Disclaimer.
- Food: The food during the event is home cooked food provided by local villagers living in tribal (Aadivasi) region. If you are choosy, cranky and grumpy about food, please avoid joining this event.
- Transport: If you do not reach Kasara by 02.47pm as mentioned in itinerary, you will miss the pickup vehicles you have paid for. In such situation you will have to hire a taxi from Kasara at your own cost.
Mischief treks does not own busses, Jeeps, Trains, or Flight. The transport options are hired by us just like people hire Ola/Uber/Auto/Taxi/Train. Any issues regarding the transport vehicles need to be addressed to concerned transport service provider. Pickup-and-Drop for the event is arranged only as "help" towards common means to travel together, Mischief Treks does not provide transport services or takes any liability regarding the same. Our role and responsibility starts from base village where the camping is conducted. - About us: Don't forget to check the About-Us page if you are new to trekking in Maharashtra.
- Discounts: To be honest, Discounts and coupon codes are just a marketing trick to fool people. No one offers something below the pre-decided rate slab. The charges on website haven't yet been adjusted (inflated) to provide for discounts. Mentioned amount is the lowest actual charges and hence discounts are currently not possible. Each organiser charges a certain amount based on his understanding regarding 'Worth' of his own event.
- KYC Form: Once you have paid for the event you will receive a KYC form on WhatsApp as soon as your payment is verified by system. You need to submit this form within 3 hours of receiving the form. If you have booked for your friends too, you need to ask each of your friend to get this done. If you are booking just 1 day prior to event, the form needs to be submitted immediately to avoid any inconvenience (Refer FAQ section below)

Q. What is provided in meals at Bhandardara Lakeside camping?
Ans. Evening snacks will be Maggie and tea. Dinner will consist of Jain, veg and nonveg options. Veg Full meal like Roti, Vegetable, Dal, Rice, Papad, Salad will be available. Morning breakfast will have tea, poha, Upma.
Q: How to request for couple tent?
Ans. Once you have completed your booking formalities, you can opt for Add-on option for getting a couple tent allocated by sharing your preference with us on WhatsApp. Plz note, as explained in important points to note, this is not a camping focused event, and stay arrangements will be as per weather conditions.
Q. Are kids allowed at Bhandardara Lakeside camping?
Ans. Kids of any age are welcome for Bhandardara Lakeside camping
Q. We are coming by our own vehicle for camping event where should we reach & how far is campsite ?
Ans. As explained in the "How to Reach" section on this page, you need to click on the Google Map link and follow the directions. The distance from Mumbai to the campsite is 126 KM which takes around 03 Hrs 30 min to reach by road. Also, we will be sharing the same details in Whatsapp group for the event.
Q. Why are toilets away from the tents?
Ans. The water in lake is source of drinking water for nearby villages. As per general guidelines toilets need to be atleast 100 mtr away from all the sources which feed water to the lake during rainy season.
Q. Does the campsite have Washroom Facility?
Ans. We have washroom available at 2-4 min walking distance from the lake which is a source of drinking water for villagers. It is a common washroom for all participants of the camping event. This is a basic washroom in a of the village, it's clean and usable until people reach, beyond that, it purely depends on the participants on how they use it. It won't be like the ones you find in hotels or restaurants.
Q. Is drinking water provided?
Ans. Yes, normal tap water for drinking is provided free of cost to all participants.
Q. How should I book Bhandardara Lakeside camping?
Ans. All you have to do is press the "Register" button on this page and follow the instructions.
Q: Can we reach or leave early/late from the campsite?
Ans. Of course! IF you have your own wheels, you're welcome to head out early. You can skip dinner, and if you're ready to hit the road, you can return to your comfort zone in no time. We don't have any restrictions or obligations when it comes to staying back at the campsite. You can reach and leave as per your choice. The charges for participation will be the same for all participants. Skipping part of event will not qualify for special rates or discounts.
Q: Are pets allowed in Bhandardara Lakeside camping?
Ans. We don't mind, but the forest stray dogs cause trouble for all other participants when they sense presence of any outsider animal in their territory. If this happens we will have to ask the pet to be taken away from campsite. Hence we highly recommend not bringing any pets into any forest region. You can get them on your own responsibility.
Q. Can someone read the details for me on phone?
Ans. All the details are mentioned on this page itself, once you scroll up you will all info on your screen. Sorry, we do not verbally provide details on the phone as it usually creates a lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication. Also, its extremely important to read and understand all the details before you book the event so that you have absolute clarity. If something mentioned on this page is confusing, you can get clarity on chat by clicking on the chat with us button on top. To discuss things that are not mentioned on this website we can arrange a callback from one of our trek leaders.
Q: I have Registered/paid for the event, is my Registration confirmed?
Ans. No ! , your Registration can become invalid if you do not submit the "Most Important Details" required for emergency situations. For any Trek/Adventure event the organizers need to have your details at least 24 hours prior to the event. We do not allow anyone to the campsite until we have complete and authentic details of the person. This info is crucial in case of an emergency and is a mandatory KYC parameter. The link for the "personal details form" will be sent on WhatsApp after making payment. Submitting incomplete/incorrect/fake details in the form will make your booking invalid and no refund will be provided in such case.
Q. Why is submitting emergency contact details and KYC information mandatory?
Ans. Its a standard protocol and also a guideline by Govt of India. We are accountable for every "Human-Body" present at our campsite or trek is our responsibility and in case of any unfortunate event we will be asked by authorities to provide all relevant information about you. In order to comply with the authorities we have to take authentic information from you. Fake/Incomplete information or non-submission of the details will make your ticket (paid amount) invalid and no refund will be provided in such case. You will not be allowed to participate in the event.
Q. Can we pay in cash or on-spot at Bhandardara Lakeside camping?
Ans. Sorry, we do not accept cash payments, on-spot payments, or installments. Advance booking is compulsory.
Q. What is the last date of booking Bhandardara Lakeside camping?
Ans. Registrations close once tickets are sold out. Ideally, you need to book at least 2-3 days in advance.
Q. What all things are provided in the tent?
Ans. The tent contains a Styrofoam mat which is similar to a yoga mat, and a blanket for each person. We suggest you to bring (optional) a bed sheet or blanket to add on to the comfort levels.
Q. How many people will share the tent OR can we have separate tent for ourselves?
Ans. We have tents of 4 different size . 2/3 person capacity tents are available, you can chose from any of these as per number of persons coming along with you. Tent size is as per standard international norms for tents. The 2 person tent is dimension: 200 x 150 x 110 cm. The 3 person tent has dimensions 200 x 200 x 130 cm. The 4 person tent has dimensions 220 x 250 x 150cm. After booking the event you need to email/message us your preference of tent size atleast 2 days prior to the event date. Allotment of tent size depends on availability of tents and payment made.
Q. Can we pay in cash or installment or on spot?
Ans. Sorry we do not accept cash payments, on spot payment or installments.
Q. What is the last date of booking?
Ans. Bookings close once tickets are sold out. Ideally you need to book atleast 2-3 days in advance.
Q. How many people will be at the Bhandardara Lakeside camping event?
Ans. The count varies every weekend, for some weekends its 30-50 people and for some weekends in holiday season it goes upto 50-100 people/ During peak dates like Christmas and New-Year the count may reach up to 200 people.
Q. Is there network, charging point, electricity at campsite?
Ans. The campsite is a lakeside location away from civilization, you intermittent network connectivity is experienced. Jio network works fine at certain spots in the campsite. There is no electricity in the region hence the charging option is not available. Its a Tribal area.
Q. How far is the campsite from Kasara and how is the road condition?
Ans. The road till Kasara ghat is good as its a national highway. Post that few patches have potholes and/or the road is broken for few meters. Its a 17km road from Kasara to campsite.
Q. Can we leave anytime we want?
Ans. Yes you can leave anytime you wish if you come by your own vehicle. shared vehicle are with fixed time slot
Q. Is Parking available at Bhandardara campsite location?
Ans. Yes, Parking lot is available at the Igatpuri camping location. There is a open space where people park their vehicles. You may choose to park your vehicle at the given location at your own risk. Till date we have not encountered any issues related to parking.

Christmas party was amazing with pretty cold night at the Bhandardara campsite. Next in line is New Year celebration camping party on 31st Dec 2023. The weather in the month of December is pleasant, fog and dew is expected late at night and early morning. The winters are pleasant and cold here. It will be cold so we recommend carrying jackets and extra bedsheets to keep you warm. The visibility is clear during the day. Average temperature for the day expected to be around 25°C and the nights are windy and cold may go up to 17°C. The sunrise from the campsite looks splendid and you get to view awesome colors during sunrise. The nights are colder now and the days are shorter due to winters in Maharashtra
- 75% will be refunded if cancelled 20 days (480+ hrs) in advance.
- 50% will be refunded if cancelled 10 days (240+ hrs) in advance.
- 0% refund if cancelled in less than 10 days (240 hours) of the event date and time.
- 0% refund if the participant drops out, misses bus pickup, does not reach the meeting point on scheduled date and time.
If the event itself gets cancelled, you will be given the option to switch to any other event or any other date, Or you can opt for 100% refund.
If you need to reschedule your booking to any other date, it can be done free of cost if the rescheduling request is sent 480 hours prior to event. From 00 hrs - 480 hours prior to event date and time, free rescheduling is not permitted. It will be counted as cancellation done in less than 480 hours of event date and time. It's a humble request, please do not give medical reasons, crib, argue or try to blackmail us if you drop out or cancel/reschedule the trek in last 20 days. This mutually agreed cancellation policy is applicable to you and us as well. Date and time of cancellation request sent to us will be considered in calculation of applicable slab given above. The date and time of booking the event are not relevant for calculating the number of days and hours remaining between the event date and cancellation request.
